Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how ListingPilot ("we", "us", the "Service") — including the ListingPilot website at toooapp.com and the ListingPilot Chrome extension — collects, uses, and protects information when you use it. By installing the extension or creating an account, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who we are
ListingPilot is a productivity tool that helps automotive dealers and individual sellers copy a listing they are viewing on a supported website and re-post it to Facebook Marketplace. Contact: [email protected].
2. Information we collect
| Category | What it includes | Why we collect it |
|---|---|---|
| Account information | Email address, name, hashed password, subscription/plan status, and license key. | To create your account, authenticate you, and manage your subscription. |
| Listing content you choose to post | The publicly displayed details of a listing you actively select — e.g. title/address, price, year/make/model, mileage, beds/baths, description text, and photo URLs. | To generate a description and pre-fill the Facebook Marketplace form on your behalf. |
| Usage / post logs | Source website, source URL, listing title, price, category, and timestamp of each post you create through the Service. | To show your post history and enforce plan limits. |
We do not collect your browsing history, keystrokes, or the content of pages you did not choose to post. The extension only reads page data at the moment you click "Post to Marketplace" on a supported listing site.
3. How the extension uses browser permissions
- Access to supported listing sites (AutoTrader, Cars.com, CarGurus): to read the details of the listing you choose to post.
- Access to facebook.com/marketplace/create: to pre-fill the new-listing form and upload the listing photos for you.
- Access to other sites (image download): listing photos are hosted on third-party image CDNs. The extension downloads only the photos belonging to the listing you selected, solely so they can be re-uploaded to your Facebook Marketplace draft. Photos are held temporarily in your browser's local storage and are removed after the draft is filled.
- Storage: to keep you signed in and to pass the selected listing between browser tabs.
The extension never publishes a listing automatically — you always review the pre-filled form and click "Publish" on Facebook yourself.
4. How we use information
- To operate and provide the Service (authentication, pre-filling, description generation, post history).
- To process payments and manage subscriptions (via our payment processor).
- To communicate with you about your account or support requests.
- To maintain security and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for advertising.
5. Sharing with third parties
We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service, and only as needed:
- Payment processing — to handle subscriptions and billing.
- AI description generation — listing details you submit may be sent to an AI provider to produce a marketing description. This data is used only to generate that description.
- Hosting/infrastructure — to store your account and logs.
We may also disclose information if required by law. We do not otherwise share your data.
6. Data retention
Account information and post logs are retained while your account is active. Listing photos downloaded by the extension are stored only temporarily in your browser and removed after the Marketplace draft is filled. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing [email protected].
7. Data security
We use industry-standard measures including encrypted transport (HTTPS) and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and continually improve our safeguards.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact [email protected].
9. Children
The Service is intended for business and adult use and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above, and where appropriate we will notify you.
